CommunityCPA.com is looking to add to our rapidly growing team! Our Firm is known for speaking nine different languages and serves a diverse client base, including immigrants from over 52 countries of origin. Summary

This position serves as a member of the Audit Team. In this role, the Candidate reports to the Audit Manager and participates in audit projects. The ideal candidate should be detail oriented, able to multitask and meet deadlines with a positive attitude.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct process evaluations of financial statements
  • Evaluate internal accounting control systems, audit risk, materiality and compliance with generally accepted auditing standards via inquiry, observation and review
  • Analyze and review client accounting records and financial statements
  • Communicate with internal auditors to coordinate audit process
  • Report audit results and recommendations to clients
  • Provide financial advice by studying operational issues, applying financial principles and practices, and developing recommendations
  • Work on portions of larger audit and accounting engagements
  • Participate in various job duties/responsibilities and special projects as directed by audit team lead
  • Follow industry trends related to audits

Qualifications:

  • CPA license/Qualified to sit in CPA examination
  • Masters or Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Accounting, Tax or related field
  • English and another second language proficiencies are strongly preferred
  • 1 year audit related and/or financial statement and accounting experience
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills, and a strong attention to detail
  • Ability to read and comprehend rules, regulations, and code of professional conduct of AICPA
  • Experience with accounting software such as AdvanceFlow, Accounting CS, QuickBooks, NetSuite, and Financial Edge
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suites

Junior Accountant    Apply Now

Summary

The ideal candidate will be involved with preparing financial statements, bank reconciliations, payroll, and be able to handle client communications in client’s native languages.

Responsibilities:

  • Financial analysis of General Ledger and Income Statements
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual statements
  • Reconcile client bank accounts to ensure financial accuracy
  • Comply with state and federal tax filing requirements on behalf of clients
  • Analyze and review client accounting records and financial statements
  • File and maintain client records and adhere to client confidentiality policy
  • Update accounting knowledge by keeping current with financial regulations and accepted practices; participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations
  • Performs other related duties as assigned (reports, analysis and review processes)

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related prior work experience, or obtaining equivalent degree in college or community colleges
  • English and a second language proficiency are strongly preferred
  • Ability to communicate effectively in person, on the phone, and in writing
  • Previous experience with any accounting software preferred

This position serves as a key member of the tax team. The ideal candidate is able to advise clients on their taxes, while acting as a strategic consultant related to business analysis, managing working capital, and profit sharing for partners.

Responsibilities:

  • Help clients meet their tax obligations while managing the impact tax has on their business
  • Prepare individual and corporate tax returns and make tax payments
  • Organize tax planning and calculate estimate payments
  • Recommend tax strategies that align with personal and business goals
  • Identify tax savings and suggest ways to increase profit

Payroll Specialist    Apply Now

Job Descriptions:

  • Process Payroll on recurring schedule or on demand
  • Collect banking information for direct deposit setup and initiate deposits on paydays
  • Process and monitor garnishment orders and other issues that impact payroll specifications
  • Reconcile general ledger with regard to payroll transactions
  • Remit payroll tax to federal and state government agencies timely
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll issues or concerns

Qualifications and skills needed:
